I am in love...

I am in love with my new shoes!!!

It honestly kills me to spend so much money on shoes. I currently own, including this pair, three pairs of shoes. How pathetic is that for a girl? The other two pairs were bought about 3 1/2 to 4 years ago. I have to have special inserts in my shoes so I have to search long and hard for a good pair that will accommodate my freakishness. I highly recommend this shoe to one and all.

I hope to have a long, lasting relationship with the new shoe-love-of-my-life.

LOVE My Name

Yesterday I was at work completing my WIC orientation. I was in the back filling out papers when the girl at the front desk came and told me there was a man in the lobby asking after me. Then in hushed tones, she added, "He is out there SINGING for you."

I have to tell you, it is not the first time I have been sung to about my name, but the first time in front of a lobby full of people. You never keep a man waiting who is singing for you...even if he is only bringing you your new ID badge :)

Law School Denial

Yesterday I got home from work just after 5:00 pm. I got the mail in and started making dinner. Kate started looking through the mail and got to a certain envelope. She asked me what it was. I told her it was probably junk mail; plus it had come to the wrong address. Then she told me it was from George Washington Law School. I put down my knife and looked at it. Then I told her it was a rejection letter for the poor boy who had applied for law school. (I would make a joke about the world being better off with one less lawyer, but I have needed mine lately and he is excellent.)

After a few minutes of Kate looking at the letter, she decided we needed to take him cookies. My sweet, tender hearted child. I love that she feels sympathy for someone she will never meet.
