This morning, we came down to a disaster of a kitchen. Yesterday was SO crazy busy. As I started to pick up last night, Matt told me to not even THINK about cleaning up. (He got up and did all the dishes before he went to work this morning. How can I not pledge my undying love to him?)
As Kat and I were puttering around this morning and I commented on what a disaster the table was. She informed me, "You would be surprised how busy a table can be, Mom." So, this is me, surprised the table is so busy.
As Luke and I sat eating our Honey Nut Cheerios, he said, "I want to be just like Matt when I grow up." How sweet is that?

Three eyes or five?
Horror Film
After running Ali to early morning seminary (why are we Mormons?) and getting Kat to the school bus, I walked Matt out to his van so he could do the seminary to school car pool. I was greeted by the sight of hundreds of spider webs on our bushes. Matthew calmly informed me the spider that makes them is harmless. Harmless or not, I was shrieking. Come to think about it, I am still a little freaked out. I told him I felt like I was in a horror film. I sprayed them down with the only bug killer I could find in the house. I hope they go away and I hope the "something is crawling on me" feeling goes away!

Old Saw Mill
By Matt's old house there is this great old sawmill. Matt says it burned a few years ago. Obviously, it isn't used any more. I have wanted to take pictures of it ever since we moved here. Saturday I finally did it. Matt bought a saw from the company when they auctioned off the equipment. How cool is that? But, he sold it.
Weekend
We had a fabulous weekend.
On Friday, Matt's cousins, Jeff and Carolyn, watched the kids while we went to the ballet Giselle. The kids got to go trunk-or-treating with them. Wow, can't turn down candy. They got to see some old friends from Orem, the Gardners.
On Saturday, our stake had a cultural night. AKA: road show. Funny, no one told Tennessee that we don't do road shows any more. The youth did a great job. Each ward's youth group did a number from a musical. Everyone did a great job, but of coarse, our little sea creatures did the best. We did Under the Sea from Little Mermaid.
At the end of this weekend, we were all exhausted. But, in a good way. We miss sharing all these moments with our family and friends back in Utah. Know we love you and miss you!!! We are very blessed with our new family and friends here.

The whole youth group ready to go on stage. They did the whole thing under black lights. So, they looked pretty cool.
Josie, Ali and McKenna. Mia Maids were mermaids.
Lukie and Matt are little buddies. Luke wants this silly picture of Matthew on the blog. My camera has a crazy flash when it is totally dark. Matt maintains that it blinded him :) Luke and his cousin Jared sat and txted to Matt all evening. It was pretty cute. While we waited for the show to beginning, I slipped out and took some pictures of the temple at dusk.

Clark
We sold Clark yesterday. Clark was Matt's Volvo C30. Kat named him after Superman, but you probably already guessed that :)
Matt sold Clark to a dealer from Canada who already has a client lined up to buy him. The dealer came to look at Clark yesterday. Tonite I was talking to Kat about Clark and Canada. She asked if the man who came to buy Clark was Canadian. I told her yes. "But he looked normal," was her response.
He was so 'normal' he didn't even bat an eye when we told him the new owner needed to be informed the car's name is Clark. Kat really, really hopes the new owner will continue to call him Clark. I wondered if periodic emails and updates about Clark was too much to ask/hope for?
Matt loves the new girls in his life, but I think he might roll his eyes at us just a little bit :)

Skirt for Kat
Some of the young women have been sewing a skirt for a young women project. Ali didn't choose to do it. I kept seeing the darling skirt at church and knew that Kat must have one. She is also going to sew one now or one of her projects. I just needed to make one first. The hem is supposed to be kind of raggity, but I might just have to hem it up.
Isn't it darling? Even Ali wants one now :)

Confusion
Today at the grocery store I saw this item on the shelf. I am confused for two reasons.
1. What is this product's intended use? Garbage bag liner? Pet bowl liner?
2. Is this particular marketing campaign supposed to encourage me to buy this product or discourage me from buying it? Who is there targeted audience? 4-year-olds?
